UPDATE: Israel Negrete was apprehended in Merrick County, Nebraska on January 22, 2016.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Colorado Department of Corrections in locating and apprehending wanted fugitive Israel Negrete.
Negrete is wanted by the Colorado Department of Corrections for Felony Escape. He has been spotted in Yuma, Eckley, and Wray. Negrete is believed to be accompanied by a 19-year-old white female in a dark gray Toyota 4-door sedan with Washington State license plates.
Please call 911 and do not approach Negrete if you spot him, he has made threats towards law enforcement in the past.
